I am running IV 2013, with the system pack 1 update. I am designing a crane boom in the frame generator and when I run the analysis to compare my hand calcs with the reations produced in the frame generator, they do not match. The boom is 50' L and pinned at the rear, and the fulcrum is 10' from the rear. With a 6kip load on the boom end, it should generate aprx 15kip reaction on each fulcrum (cross section of boom is rectangle). This is not the case, and inventor is giving me result of 30 kip which the to total load at the culcrum line of action, not on each pin connection. Has anyone encounter this? The stresses in the frame generator match my hand calcs so I do not understand what is going on. Any one encounter this?
