Force derived sketches to be construction linetype

Hi All

Wondering if there is a trick to force derived sketches to be construction linetype?

I'm deriving complex sketches from the skeletal model file into part files and adding additional content to the derived sketches before using the sketch to produce features (extrude etc).

If all the derived content is construction linetype I can easily create the features, if not the loop selection is slow and clumsy.

When I update the derived content it returns to "normal" linetype.

I cant have the original sketch as construction as I need it to be normal.

I can create a new sketch in the new part and project all lines from the derived sketch but its a clumsy and slow process.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

JF

Not with Derive, possibly you might be able to use iLogic to convert all "normal" lines in a sketch to construction lines.

Just insert the picture rather than attaching it as a file

Thanks Blair

iLogic crossed my mind but the job would have to be bigger to justify it as I'm pretty slow at crafting iLogic
