flat pattern

Hi

Please see the attached image, I need to make a flat pattern.

But it didn't capture whole face.

Then I made a half view ( cut by a plate at the center of thickness ).

How to do that?

Regards

Did you Attach the correct file?

This is not a sheet metal part?

This is what you want to straighten if your detail is already straight ...

@lkirit2000  Please look at the file you attached.. It is NOT a part that could be flattened.. Its some rectangular extrusion with a small cylinder extrusion out one side. It looks like you may have posted the wrong file.

If not you will need to be MUCH clearer about what you expect to happen with that file.

Using default name Part1 is a very dangerous practice as you will eventually accidently overwrite some very important file.  (And of course, makes identification impossible unless you have one and only one Part1.)

@lkirit2000

Improve my knowledge, wondering how a laser can cut such a round part?

I didn't see this problem description in your original post?

First thing I notice is that, once again, you sketches are not fully defined.

Do you have any interest (after 3 yrs of using Inventor) to learn how to fully define sketches?

Hi JDMather,

When I try with Save copy As, I couldn't get the Autocad Dxf Option.

I can see Autocad DWG file. How to bring AutoCAD DXF option ?

We will have to start from the beginning - are you ready to do that?
