Fixings should be content center but have been modelled

Inventor 2015 Professional

Does anyone have any suggestions as we have a few fixings that were modelled years ago, rather than using the content center fixing.

These fixings have been used in hundred of models but we would somehow like to change the model fixing back to the correct content fixing without causing lots of constraint issues.

the best solution we can think of is to rename the modelled fixing in Vault but not exchange those fixings in the previously used models, instead use the content center fixing only on new models.

Regards,

Carl

Content Center components would have their own naming/file convention/folder location so when placed into new models they would not impact any legacy models.  So there's no need to rename your legacy hardware in Vault.

If you want to use the CC components in legacy models then you will need to update the models manually and most likely constraints will be lost because its not the same geometry/model.  But in (Vault) history there will still be links to your manually created hardware/components.
