Finding the 'Construction' button

I need construction lines in a sketch but my 'Construction' button has gone AWOL.

I can get it back in a 'User' tab but even then it doesn't activate.

How do I get it back (I seem to remember it was in the 'Format' tab)?

Thanks

Hi,

Is the whole format tab gone?

If so, RMB on the ribbon -> Show panels -> Select "Format"

If that's not the case try resetting the ribbon:

RMB on the ribbon -> ribbon appearance -> Reset ribbon

If nothing of the above works, what happens if you select the line in the sketch and RMB -> select "Construction"

Does that work?

Sorry about that.  Should have included this

Construction.png

I am working on a custom drawing template and am currently editing the border, so its not an ordinary sketch.  I don't know if that makes any difference.

Yes it does, no construction lines in the idw/dwg environment.

If you do not want your lines to show up when exiting the sketch mode you have to make them "sketch only" by using the button visible in your screenshot.

Other than that you can change the formatting of the line (linestyle, color, etc) using the options in the dropdown when clicking on "format".

Hope that helps.
