Finding an area of a specific view of a part

Is there a way to find the area(in iproperties or other) of a specific view of a part, such as a front view?

In a drawing you can create a sketch on the view that you want then project the geometry of the outside (you may be able to just window the view to project everything). Then, still in the sketch, go to 'Measure', 'Region Properties' which will, amongst other things, display the area.
