Family driven Ifeature with custom parameter

Hi,

I have created a family for a range of holes to suit SAE flanges.  See Below.  I did this with the view to creating an Ifeature that would utilize the family so i could select a flange sizes and the holes would be added.

This would be fine, but the issue i am having is that I need the centre holes length to be customizable.  This is something that can be done with Ifeature easily when there is not a family element.

Is there a way of achieving what i desire?  Having the Ifeature being controlled by a family table along with certain parameters being customisable.

i Tim

It seems to be working fine on my computer. Would you be able to attach you part (for ifeature extraction) and the ifeature (with the table) for us to try it?

See attached the part and the Ifeature.

The parameter that controls the Depth of the hole is BB_Depth.

The problem i have is if i change  the limit from list the parameter does not appear in the Ifeature and cannot be altered.

Excuse the parameter Sizes as this is a bodged way of getting a meaning full label in the ifeature.

Seems to be working with custom range for column and cell but I might be failing to understand you need and workflow.

Is this what you see as well?

Thanks for the help.  Where i was going wrong was making BB_Depth a costum part in the ipt file.  Where if you do it in the IDE file it works.  I just presumed that if it was a custom parameter before you create an Ifeature it would carry through into the Ifeature.  Not the case though
