External thread dimensions move from the major dia to the minor dia and move

We have a problem with the external thread dimension moving not only to the minor dia

of the thread, but it also moves from the midpoint of the thread on our drawings. This occurs after it has

been saved and then checked into the Vault, it changes to the minor diameter from the major, plus it relocates the dimension in a vertical direction, up or down, on the external thread? Any ideas?

Welcome to the community...

Based on your description I've never heard of this before..  What version of Inventor and Vault are you using..

You may want to create an Autodesk Screencast and show us the issue (just so we don't misinterpret your workflow).   Link to screencast is my signature

I can see the words you typed but I assume you're asking if I can see your attachments?   Which is no...  May want to try another browser or stop using the email as your reply.   Post directly in the forum or private message me.

Thanks for the pictures/images by PM...  Can you specify what version of Inventor (sorry I forgot your posting earlier stated 2015). and Vault you're using.   Also indicated what service pack you have for Inventor.   There's no way of testing without knowing this information

Update:  Also I never seen anybody dimension external threads like that..  What are you not using the hole/note callout?
