Export Extruded sketch as a Dwg File

Can anybody help???

I have created a Inventor macro that exports a 2d AutoCAD "Dwg" file of an extruded face (So that I can use it for my laser cutting machine)

The only problem is that I have to physically click on the extruded surface (turning it blue) before running the macro.

Does anybody know how to automatically select this extruded face, by modifying the attached macro???

The part (ipt) file will only ever have one extruded face!!!

Please help as I have not been able to solve this problem for some time

I have changed the macro extension to "txt" rather than "bas" so that I could attach it to this discussion

MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

Why use a macro?

There is already a built in function in Inventor to export a face..

Just right click on any face and select "export face as"

takes 2 seconds..

technically even an extruded rectangle has 6 faces.. how would it know which one to select?
