How to slice/shear/cut/section this object in Autodesk Inventor?

Hi All, Can someone kindly advise which command should I use to slice/shear this hollow cylinder 45 deg?

 

I've attached a sketch so you know what I mean.

There are a few ways to do this. one way is shown below.

 

Create the base profile.

Create an elevation profile (set the tapered line at the angle and height you want.

place a work plane on the angle (select the origin plane XZ plane in this example and then the tapered line you drew)

Use the extrude feature, change the selection "Extents" from Distance to "To"

Select the work plane you created.

Done.

Another method- create a straight hollow cylinder, then create a sketch and Extrude/Cut across the end:

What version of Inventor are you using?

Another way - 

Simply sketch a line and Split away the side you don't want.

But how will the real world part be manufactured?

Is this a rolled sheet metal part 

or

is it a cut tube?

Am so sorry, that i just noticed your respond after a year!

 

We are using laser  to cut the slope on acrylic cylinder.
