Error loading segment PmBrepSegment in datatbase

Hi, I have a file made in Inventor 2011: I can't open it, I get the error in subject (see attached image, it's in italian). I tried to open it in Inventor 2011 and 2016, but without success. I also have the file derived in other files: I can open them, but I can not work on them, the PmBrepSegment error always doesn't allow modifications. How can I have my model back? TIA Best regard, Marco A.

nothing was attached ...

can you try attaching it again? and the derived data set too ...

What happens if you're in the derived file and try to open base component, do you still get errors?

Hi,

I had problems attaching files with Firefox.

This is the error:

 2015-07-10 08_38_27-Errore grave..png

I can't attach the .ipt for privacy reasons.

If I try to open the base component in the derived file I get the same error.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Marco A.

It appears you have corruptions within your file.   Here's some info: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticl...

Although you have Inventor 2011, I think you said that you still can't open it using that version.  At this point I think you would have to start from the beginning and create this part.   You may also want to check your oldversion folder where your part resides and see if the last version of that part can be opened.

Hi,

yes, I can't open it in Inventor 2011 either.

Actually I have a previous version in the OldVersion folder (why didn't I check it???), and I can open it. The file has different dimension, so maybe it is different somewhere.

Thank you for the suggestion! It's better than nothing, but I would like to have my updated file back...

Thank you.

Best regards,

Marco A.
