I am trying to use Dynamic Simulation to find out what motor torque will be required to drive a roller which will be rolling some sheet metal into a tube. I have a small top roller which will be house in a machined carriage above. Force applied when rolling should be around 5 tonnes upwards or could be less. I have got the simulation part way there but I cannot seem to get any results for the unknown torque force. I have added a rolling cylinder on cylinder joint to the drive and top roller and then added a 25KN force to either end of the carriage downward to simulate the force applied as the sheet metal passes through. As I say I just don't get anything meaningful that gives me confidence to move forward.
Hope someone can point me in the right direction.
