Hi,
I am new to inventor and trying to create a faceted drill point. How would I go about this? I can't seem to manipulate the planes in multiple directions to generate this.
Thanks,

A drill bit is probably a difficult challenge for a beginner.
The attached document shows how to do it in AutoCAD.
The process is essentially identical (except easier) in Inventor.
Attach your *.ipt file here if you have trouble figuring it out.
I have no problem with a twist drill. The problem is adding a primary, secondary and teritary relief to the point angle.
Attach your *.ipt file here and end all doubt.

Well... good luck then..
Not sure how we are supposed to help you if you can't communicate the intended orientation of planes,etc.. to create these unknown to us features..
I guess we can direct you to the help showing how to create different types of work planes..
I am trying to create a work plane that is rotated at a certain degree angle in the YZ plane and tipped to follow the point angle that has been generated in the XZ plane.

Maybe you need to use the "Three points" option then??
You should be able to create a dummy file that exhibits the same geometry as your proprietary data.
Creating workplanes at any desired orientation/location is pretty easy once you get the hang of it.
