Drawing text dialogue - different char in edit form and in drawing

I try to implement the barcode 128 using ttf font. There occurs strange behaviour of the text field in the drawing. In edit form all chars are OK, but in the drawing is the first char (Ě) replace by notdef glyph. Other editors (e.g. MS Word) have no problems displaying all chars correctly.

See the first char in the screenshot (the "readable" form of barcode is visible on second row):

Hi Pavel,

Can you attach the Inventor drawing?

We can then investigate.

Have you installed a Language Pack?

Cheers

Jon.

Hi Jon,
I passed this issue to the tech support (we are still currently working on it), but it has problem to reproduce it (I reproduced it on different computer) – maybe it has something to do with localised Inventor (we use Czech language version). I am responsible for implementing barcode in our company (16 Inventor licences) and this issue really stucked me.

If you want to, here is the provided information:

The font is attached, after installing the font try to paste e.g. string: "ÌAhoj}Î"

Many thanks!

Pavel

Hi Pavel,

Looks OK in Inventor 2016 English.

Can you try without the Czech language pack?

Jon.

Hi Jon,
Unfortunately we have no installed workstation in English. I suppose that in English Inventor will everything be OK, but we need to use the Czech version (not all my colleagues are English speaking).

Hi pavel.rybar,

Thanks for your information about this behavior.

Here is workaround for this, could you please have a try and feel free to let me know it works or not? Thanks in advance.

Go to Control Panel -> Region and Language -> Region -> Administrative -> Language for non-Unicode programs -> Current language for non-Unicode programs -> Change system local, please select English(United States). Click OK button. Then restart computer. Now, this issue should be fixed by workaround solution. Here is video, http://autode.sk/2kYNTVB.

Thanks,

-Rui

Hi Rui,

thank you for the workaround. It works.

Please let me know after the issue will be corrected without the workaround.

Thanks.

This workaround is unfortunately useless, because it damages Czech special characters in other SW.

Hmm... Have run out of ideas about this.

Would follow up this issue with development team.

Thanks,

Hi Jon,

thank you for passing it to development. Please give me feedback about solution. I want to open one more topic connected with this issue and it is embedding such font to pdf exported from Inventor.
