Drawing balloon alignment

In Inventor 2016 AutoDesk have messed with the drawing Item balloon alignment. It worked perfectly before in that I could pick a balloon, select more balloons & R.Click to align vertcally or horizontally. I could i.e. align a group of balloons vertically then horizontally align another set with the top or bottom of the vertical group.

Now, when I select a group of balloons & R.Click, the group jumps to wherever my cursor happens to be & I have to drag the group back into position, using guesswork if I want to align with another balloon.

Or, am I missing something? Is there a command that I am overlooking?

Dear AD team and Q/A.

I would believe that restoring the balloon alignment regression is hopefully something that has been added to a service patch or hot-fix list in the development offices. This issue has apparently been around for the last 3 or 4 versions. I do see this as a drawing creation and presentation issue, and I understand that the is annoying to many end users, but to be honest, I can see from an code severity issue it is possibly in the low category. It would be great to have the old functionality back soon if possible.

Thanks

Mike

Hi Guys,

Just to provide an update regarding the balloon alignment issue, it has been reported as INVGEN-26569. But, I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed unfortunately.

Many thanks!
