Hello, and welcome!

I do not believe that it is possible to get bending machine output from Tube & Pipe at all.  @johnsonshiue can you confirm?

This brings up a question for me. As I have never done it, but am curious. Is there a way to get bending information out of a swept path or one made by the bend part command? Lets say I needed to model a brake line. Is there a way to export that to a tube bending machine? Maybe there is and I am not aware?

Accepted solution

Hi Folks,

I am not aware of an out-of-the-box workflow to do that.

Many thanks!

@CGBenner  thanks for the reply. Sorry for the delayed response

Please find the attached picture.

In picture- steps of benign machine output generation

1. Activate the tube and pipe run in the assembly

2. Activate the Run.Run01 in this case

3. Right click on the pipe sweep. Pipe sweep in this case . A pop up opens in that you can select the bending machine output .

On the window that opens you can download the bending machine in YBC format. See picture 2 bending machine output file.

Normally I have to go to each pipe sweep to download the bending machine output file in YBC format. If there are N pipe sweeps I have to do that N times.

Is there a way to download all the bending machine output file in YBc format in an assembly at once

Hello again.  Based on the response from @johnsonshiue this is not possible without some kind of customization.  I recommend asking this question in the Inventor Programming forum, to see if anyone has any ideas for a programming solution to this.  Good luck!
