Dimension not snapping to centre marks

Hi, I'm working from a clients drawing template.

I can't snap to any center marks. I have tried to make a sketch and project the point/lines I want to dimension to, and this also does not work.

Here is a screen shot of centered pattern I created, I'm trying to put in a angle dimension. Bit Inventor only gives me a vertical dimension.

This is what I want to show.

Could this be a setting in their template that I need to change?

Thank you

Hi! In Inventor, two points don't define an angle. You need two lines (sketch or centerline) passing through the center points.

Many thanks!

If I understand the original question, I believe the user is trying to select the lines of the centermark from the rotational pattern.  This should work to dimension the angle between the lines of the centermarks.  I must ask, however, are you selecting the actual line, or at the center of the circle where the two lines making up the centermark intersect?

Hi @CGBenner

Yes you are correct, it seems I cant snap to any lines or points of any center lines.

I have tried to draw in sketches and project the center marks, but it also doesn't want to snap to the sketches.

So I'm wondering if there is a setting that could have been set to prohibit me from snaping to these features?

Why you don't post an example file, so we can see what "center marks" you have?

@hEINSTEIN

I think I am tending to agree with others, can you share a part file and drawing that are giving you this trouble, so that we can take a look at it?
