Diameter Symbol from font other than Segoe UI Symbol

Hello, 

I have imported an ISOCPEUR font that demonstatably has the diameter symbol "⌀" (Tested in Word and online). When I try to input it in Inventor, the font automatically switches to Segoe UI Symbol. I would like to use the font ISOCPEUR.

My problem is that the scandinavian "ø", which is usable in Inventor looks bad in ISOCPEUR and the automatic Inventor diameter symbol (Not a unicode symbol) does not fit my needs.

I can confirm that Inventor automatically inserts the symbol as Segoe UI, but if you then select that symbol and change the font to ISOCPEUR it displays the correct diameter symbol.
(at least for me)

The 2 diameter symbols in AIGDT and Tahoma aren't usable for a quick insert as they are different symbols in ISOCPEUR.

I've found that if you switch to ISOCPEUR and, instead of using the character insert dialog, use the ALT code (ALT +8960) it inserts the diameter character without changing to Segoe UI.
Can you try that as well?

Hello, thank you for your prompt reply.

I have tried both suggestions and unfortunately, for me Inventor switches back to Segoe UI no matter what I try. I'm using the latest Inventor 2020 Professional. 

I would appreciate any further ideas or suggestions. Is there any way to get the developer's attention on this? It seems like a mistake that Inventor would not let you use a font to its full potential.
