Design State for I part factory

I have created an I part factory and I would like to either add "design state" to the table of paramters or set it as "released" for every part.  What is the best way to do this.  I am suprised to find that the entire "status" tab of I propeerties is not avaiable for use in the parameters table.

If you set the Design State iproperty value in the ipart factory this will be passed down to all of the members.

There appears no way to add this to the property to the ipart table and control individual members
