derived part parent file

Ok, so I have a parent part that I am referencing some geometry in. I have used this parent part to create 2 derived parts. now I want to place everything into an assembly. my question is, is there a way to place all of these parts together so all stay in place in assembly? images below.

There is Productivity tool just for that in one easy step.

Look in the drop down for Mate Origin Planes.

In the assembly environment you have 2 ways:

  1. When placing the component (before you left click to place in space) right click and select the option at 4:30 o'clock (place fixed at origin). Do this for each part.
  2. Once you have placed the component (without using the above option), in the Assemble tab in the Productivity panel, find the Ground and set it as the main. There, select either the first or the first and second option.
