We often need to further modify an iPart member when we place it into an assembly.
For example, if I'm placing a blank CF40 flange, I'd want to create some holes in it, specific for a certain work.
Would it be possible to generate a new part from an iPart member, not linked to it, so that I could modify it freely? I've tried placing an iPart member, then using "Save and Replace" to create a new part, but it's still treating it as an iPart member. I cannot double-click it from the assembly to modify it, and if I open it it'll take me to the iPart factory.
Any help?

Hi!
When you have an iPart, you will have a folder with the ipart members.
You can derive one of the iPart members and break or suppress the link between the new derived part and the ipart member.
You could save a copy of the iPart and then delete the iPart table in the browser tree. This will convert the iPart to a normal part.
