Solved: Deleting 3D Annotation Also Deletes User Parameter

Hi,

Inventor Pro 2020.

Created a simple extruded circle Part.

Created a Text User Parameter and used it's value in a Leader Text 3D Annotation.

So if the value changes in the Parameter, the 3DA changes.

If I delete the 3DA, the Parameter is also deleted...!!!

Is this normal behaviour...???

I can reproduce it in 2021. Looks like a bug to me!

If you add a second one to the same leader it deletes only the first.

@johnsonshiue are you able to look into this...

This happens when the leader is deleted through the API also

I found a workaround which may give us a quick solution.

I included the same Parameter in a sketch that wasn't used by any features.

When I deleted the 3DA the Parameter did not delete because it is being consumed in the sketch.

Would be an acceptable solution/workaround for now...???
