Delete Body Command

I wish Inventor will have a command that is a DELETE BODY so that in multi-body parts i can just easily delete the body that i want to be remove, because the delete face cannot do the job.

I find the "Delete Face - Lump" solution to be inadequate in that if faces of the body/lump change or its distribution/number of faces change then the feature often fails and you have reselect the body/lump and apply the feature again. Perhaps no big deal for some but it is not a very robust workflow, which depending on your use case could have big implications.

Another workaround to the Delete Body - Lump option and which solves the robustness issue in question (although with more steps involved) is the following:

1. Make a pattern of the body you want to delete (quantity 2, distance 0)
2. Combine (Cut) the body you want to delete with the body created from the pattern
3. Combine (Join) the leftover empty body with your "main" body

Edit: I attempted to break the delete face feature by going back and changing the body/faces but it does seem to hold up. Perhaps it has been improved in recent versions (I'm currently on 2022).

Another way to remove the body is, extrude cut and select the desired body.
