I have an extruded angle.
I place as standard with custom length
Right click, change size
Change length
Part changes.
I place as CUSTOM with custom length
Right click, change size
Change length
Windows pointer spins round
Part doesn't change length.
Document update lightning bolt is shown. Click it to update part, still doesn't change length.
If I change the profile to a different size of angle it updates as well as the length.
Then try to change size again, length does not change.
We have a box section in CC which works perfectly so can't understand why the angle doesn't.
Family table in CC has the length column mapped to the right model parameter and like I say, the length changes when placed as standard. Tried authoring part as structural in case that wasn't done before. Doesn't change anything.
It's as if when it redraws the part (changes profile, creates new standard part) it'll use the length but when changing the size on a custom it won't as this is updating a part not creating a new one.
Any ideas?

Hi James,
Could you share the CC part here? I would like to take a closer look.
Many thanks!
Do you mean the original ipart or the factory member?
I don't have the original, here is one created with 'custom' and saved.
Hello James
please paste Content Center library here if you can, it is IDCL file located under "c:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Inventor <version>\Content Center\Libraries"
Little bit theory: Steel shapes (frames) are defined as extrusion between Start - End plane

It's a vault content center.
Also I've no idea how this part was originally created, probably before I joined the company, I've just been told it doesn't work.
I've just looked at it and it is between start and end planes and the end plane is defined by the same parameter that is mapped in the CC table.
Changing B_L in hte part changes the length, but changing B_L through CC change size does not.
Change size (length) is basic workflow, as you can see on the video (in the attachment) I recorded, it has to work for user-published frames as for standard frames supplied by Content Center.
Is this part complicated? If not, I would suggest to recreate it:
0. Using Content Center Editor open frame family table, export data to Excel
1. File -> Open from Content Center (As Custom) - first member from family is the best
2. Make it iPart - one row/member only
3. Authorize
4. Re-publish
5. Using Content Center Editor edit family table
6. Apply data from family table - Excel - step #0 = extend your one-row family by other rows as it used to be in #0

Deleting the Content Center cache fixed this issue.
