Creating iFeatures

I can't find much about creating iFeatures in the public domain. Nothing in the help file seems to talk about creating them.

I need to create complex punch tools and I am on my 3rd day with Inventor 12.

I understand the process is different than Solidworks.

Is there a good text with a tutorial?
