Creates a Cycle?

Hello, so im pretty new on Inventor. I've followed a guide to make a Frame (frame generator)  I started on drawing and then I went to new assembly to choose the frame and the sizes. I had finished the frame and saved my work and the file is on my desktop.

When i clicked on my saved work i get the message selwcting this file creates a cycle.

All i want to do is continue on my saved work and edit a few things.

I have a few pictures. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Your OMGKE....iam file has a broken link in that it can't find a file that it references.

The resolve dialog is asking for the location of "frame zero.iam"

You need to select that frame zero.iam file in its location and not OMGKE...

Attempting to link the same file to itself creates a cyclic dependency that is not allowed.

When you create frames in the frame generator, by default inventor creates a folder in the same directory as the assembly to contain all the parts and pieces that belong to the frame.  If you deleted that folder and its contents, you essentially deleted the entire frame.  I would suggest you try to find that folder.  At least one of the missing files is "frame zero.iam".  I would suggest searching for that part (assuming it isn't deleted), and when you find it (and the folder it's in), bring them back to the same directory as the assembly.

Hi! If possible, please share the files here. I would like to understand how the cyclic relationship was established.

Many thanks!

Hi there
The thing is, I have changed my laptop so I moved my inventor projects files into a hard drive.
now that I have reinstalled INVENTOR I want to access my files and this error pops up.
I would be glad if you look this up.

(I found that your files are Inventor 2021 version-- important information to provide in the initial post...)

The problem I find is that at least one file is missing when attempting to open knife mold.iam:

Is this what you see, too?  Or if this isn't what you see, please provide the missing file(s).

sorry for replying this late and also for not mentioning the version of the Inventor.
yes this is the same thing that I am facing with but unfortunately these are all the files that I have got.
does it mean that I have to do all the work again or another solution exist?

well, as you can see all of Mold Base files seems to be missing which looks weird to me.
