replace a Content Center part

For example, I have a Stainless steel bend in my content center that is used all over the place, but want to replace it by another bend. So I want to remove (or hide it for new selections) the bend and introduce a new bend for future use. obviously i want to keep all old project displaying the "old" bend.

I add the new bend but how do I hide the old bend for future selections?

Hello again sir!

Let me make sure I am understanding correctly.  You have published a new part to the Content Center that you want to be the default for your users going forward, and you want to no longer see the old one in your Content Center (but do not want to delete the existing instances of it)?

You should be able to simply delete the family from your Content Center browser.  This will not delete any part files that have been generated by your users in older designs, so it should not cause any unresolved file issues.  But, the older part will no longer be available for selecting in designs going forward.  Is this what you were looking for?

Deleting the family from the CC editor window should not do this, but if the folder under the Content Center file location is also deleted, then you will have unresolved issues.  Those part files should stay in your CC file location even if the table itself is deleted.
