Create a nose cone/ dome with different x and y profiles

Im trying to recreate the nose of this submarine in inventor

if you notice the shape of the cone if different in the plan and elevation views. is there a way to recreate this shape.

How to describe in a post how to construct a u boot?
Of course this works in Inventor, please look at the screencast.
If they can do that, then they can also use a u boot shell.
How much years do you have with inventor?

I'm totally overwhelmed. thank you so much for all the work and information. I'm going to work my way though it now.

 

To answer a few questions. I've had inventor 2017 for about 6 months, I had solidworks before that for years. 

I'm a design engineer with almost 17 years xp with autocad and am just about to start Revit training through work. 

 

Il have to remember to post some picture of the 3d prints etc.
