Create 3D letters in specific font

I need to model some letters for a sign panel which will then get laser cut out of 3mm stainless steel sheet. There has been a specific font specified. Is there any way to create text in a specific font as a sketch profile that you can then extrude?

Be glad of any help here, thanks...

Place text in a sketch and extrude it.  You can control font, size, attributes, spacing, orientation etc.  By default, text is placed with a sketch point at the justification location (left/center/right, top/middle/bottom), but you can choose to exchange that for a text box: a construction type rectangle that is easier to constrain in some situations.

I'm having a hard time changing the font size of my text. When I click edit it pops up the Format Sketch (Sketch Text ANSI) edit board where I can change the characters of the text and the spacing, but I can't seem to figure out how to make everything bigger. The size drop down menu only has three options, and none of them seem to do anything.

Any advice?

Thanks

This should do it:

- Double-click on your text

- Select it in Format Text window

- Go to text size box

- Select or type in  new size
