Inventor has some incredibly useless error messages, let see if we an find the MOST USELESS one...

Is the designated as "unexpected" because there are errors that ARE expected?

A few of my favorites.  "What CER" is self-explanatory, as is "What is this panel".

"Product info crash step 2" happened (and was repeatable) when clicking the Help-->About-->Product Information button.

I have a few more good ones.

"Invalid dwg file nonsense" occurred when attempting to open a DWG file that had been previously opened and validated as "trusted" in TrueView.

"DWG Import error" occurred while using a client's dwg to create/convert to an Inventor title block. I found humor in the error telling me there was a template creation in progress (yup, this one), that the insert wasn't done (no kidding?) and to complete and close creation in progress and try again. Inventor: "You're doing something. You can't do it. Stop what you're doing so you can restart what you can't do to begin with".

I get this error message when trying to generate a factory member.

While I agree, errors like this are of little help in finding out what the issue is. But at the same time, there's probably soooo many possible causes, there's no way the programmers could account for each in order for the error to tell you, "hey knucklehead, you need to fix blah blah blah first".

As a CAD Support Manager, I'd love to have the ability to modify some of the out of box errors that come up.

But yeah, when I see errors like this, it's time to put on my miner's helmet, turn the light on and dive down that rabbit hole in hopes of finding what caused the error.
