Constraining parts to path

This yellow part is rotationg around the pin.

I want to constrain the path to the pin sticking out

 

Iny tip how to do it best?

Are you sure that you made the yellow path correctly (Solid Sweep).

If yes, then Transitional Constraint will work in Assembly Environment or 3D Contact Joint in Dynamic Simulation Environment.

Hi! Like JD mentioned, the cut is better done by Solid Sweep (when it works). Please feel free to share the file here. We can take a closer look and see if there is a better workflow.

Ok so that might explain my problem!

 

I draw the tube as a solid and placed a "rib" on it so I could flat it out.
Then i draw the path and just cut it out.
Its a quick and so simple method.

 

Using sweep I find it really hard to work with on a cylinder so that I need to practice a lot more on.. 😞
