constraining parts to 3d sketch lines

Im curious, has this been addressed in any version of Inventor higher than 2016?

I have a sketch template for our piping, it has a heap of 3d sketches in it, (as you know pipes are not always on located on one nice 2d sketch plane). I have this template in my assembly and im happy to constrain my parts to 2d sketches lines, but still you can not constrain anything to a 3d sketch!!.. ok the work around is to put work axis, points into the sketch and it works, yeah great.. .. but this sketch is the master, it is huge and what i dont want is to have another pile of axis/workpoints all over it. its messy enough as it is.

So, yeah im just wondering is this EVER going to be solved?
