Am I missing something? I have two parts, and I want to constrain one part between two surfaces of the second part. Is this a bug or my lack of knowledge on Inventor 2023?

Hi @nathan_m_gardner

I replied to your other post before seeing this one, so there is some info there, but here is a quick video showing how we often do this in Inventor ( I know it seems odd if you come from Solidworks for instance).

In Inventor we just have to create a work plane in the part, and use it ( or an existing plane) for the constraint.

Hope this helps,
Curtis

Hi, you can actually do this with joints. Whilst the command is active, right click and choose 'between two faces.'
