Constrain a edge to a surface

Hi, I am trying to have the cylindrical cross section just touch the inside of the cone. Is there a constrain technique to achieve this? Attaching the zip file here.

Hi

Add a sketch containing the maker line of the cone and a point on the edge of the cylinder. Then mate constraint will work.

Hi! This seemingly simple case is actually quite tricky to do in Inventor. The most straight forward solution is to enable Contact Solver. However, one of the part is adaptive, which cannot be made as a Contact Set. In addition, Contact Solve isn't a constraint. The components may not collide. They can still move.

The solution I found is to create a cone surface in the source part. And move the surface up so that it touches the bottom of the cylinder. When constraining the two parts, simply use Cylindrical Face Mate (Mate -> pick the cone face, not the center axis).

Please take a look at the attached file.

Many thanks!
