Hello @lkirit2000 can you clarify what you need to do with the flat ends? I see that you have added degree values to the Close Start and End, what are you trying to accomplish?

In the past when I needed to make the flat ends of a compression spring was I simply created the spring, then did an extruded cut on each end. If you dimension it correctly it will adjust as the spring length changes.
Windows 10 x64 -16GB Ram
Intel i7-6700 @ 3.41ghz
nVidia GTS 250 - 1 GB
Inventor Pro 2021
Would that model do? IV2020 format.
Cheers,
Igor.

Hi Kelly,
It needs to be flat ends so it will be seated firmly in the flat surface.
Thanks
See Attached.
@lkirit2000 I think you get the idea from the supplied parts, nicely done JD and Igor.
You can use another method shown in the fourth video to show an Adaptive Coil Updating With Assembly Motion using Copy Object:
How to create springs with adaptive length in Inventor
If you subtract the thickness of the circle from the overall height of the coil and then create a Work Plane offset at the height it will be easy to constrain.
