Combining multiple drawings

Hello,

I'm facing an issue in combining multiple drawing files. When I copy and paste the required sheet to the destination drawing file, it so happens that the views of the sheet remain intact. But the ANSI field text that I have entered in the required sheet doesn't appear in the destination drawing file. Instead, the ANSI field text changes to the one in the destination drawing file.

I tried editing the field text after pasting the sheet. This changes the field text in all pages again.

Is there a quick fix to this problem?

If you are combining drawings, why not combine the different models in the same drawing set.  You should get the same result and have a common title block.  If you must use the method you describe, as I truly do not know why you are doing it, the best way to overcome your issue is to create a new drawing template with only Prompted Entry fields which are entirely independent of the model(s) placed in the drawing.

I did find the solution. I had to define the iProperties for each part. I then edited the title block to use the description and part number from the model. Thanks!

Could you elaborate more on this or more steps into doing this. I'm new to inventor and still trying to figure this out.

Thank you!
