Currently we have the following problem with a large number of (weld)assembly files. I'm not completely sure if I'm posting this in the right category, because it's a combined Inventor/Vault problem, but I believe the main problem lies with Inventor.
First of all let me start with the error message that we receive. After we checked out an old assembly from the Vault and we try to check it back in we sometimes get the following error message:
Your files could not be added tot the vault for the following reasons:
The file 'C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2013\Textures\surfaces\weldcat0.bmp is outside the defined search paths...
However, when I go to my computer, the file and file path is present:
From this point it gets interesting (and difficult). I believe that this error is being generated because at the beginning of this year we've upgraded our servers and all computers had to login into a new domain. Also together with this upgrade we switched from Inventor 2013 to Inventor 2017 (just to be complete on information, I don't think switching to a newer version is related to the problem). Somehow logging into the new domain causes the link to the texture files not to be recognized.
I also tried all solutions as suggested in the following posts, but those solutions didn't work either:

Currently we are manually removing the link to this texture using Tools => Links => Break link. However this is a very tedious solution, especially for large assemblies because an error message is generated, but it doesn't say which file is effected, which means you have to go to a large number of files to find the corrupted assembly.
Please provide any further ideas or suggestions. The most annoying part is, that even though a link to the weldcat file is present, it's not visible in the part itself in other words, it's useless to have the link.
