Change View Orientation & Rotate Angle

In Inventor 2013 when you would right click on a projected view of a part, the window that came up had a little cube you could click on and rotate the angle of view by a variable angle in all 3 planes. Inventor 2016 does not have that option to rotate the angle of view in my .idw. Is there a way I can rotate my view angle in 2016? I used to be able to do up my .idw and make my vie angle match previously drawn dws's in Autocad (these are catalog line drawings), and now I can't do that anymore. There has to be an easy answer, I can't imagine they would remove this option.

I'm not sure 100% what you are referring too ...

but I thinking this is what you might be referring too ...

If not please post an example from 2013

The top one is the first screen you get when you right click on the view and choose edit view. The second one is the screen you get when you click the change view orientation icon that is what you see on the first shot. This allows you to choose the degrees of rotation and which plane you are rotating. That Icon is not on 2016.

I went ahead and marked this as solved, but unfortunately I don't have the current release and my company isn't doing support so I don't think I can even get it - my release doesn't have the custom view available 😞 It looks like I have to rotate the drawing/assy view and not the .idw view?

In Post #3 you are entering from the drawing environment, now in the latest image you are in the modeling environment.

I think you are getting the two view cubes mixed up.

Video to follow.

Can you attach a dummy *.ipt file and a dummy *.idw file here with one view of the part file?

What happens if you double click on your Base View (the one on the left side of the sheet.)?

(or right click on the Base View and select Edit View)
What happens if you start a new Base View on that sheet?

Hi

I have problem with rotation of views made with previous version (Inventor 2013).

Here is main view.

Zajeta slika1.JPG

After double click on that view, I get this:

Zajeta slika2.JPG

No possibility to turn this view.

If is view made in version 2019 or if is single, makes without problem, because it shows turning cube.Zajeta slika3.JPG
