Change sheet metal bend radius?

This is crazy. Why dosen't Inventor give a person the ability to change the bend radius on a sheet metal flange? I don't see any options anywhere to manipulate the radius.

It is right there in the dialog box that you posted.

You can either change it in the Style or override in the dialog box (or on screen after creation of the feature).

In  your Sheet Metal Styles and Standards you defined (or left as default) a magnitude for the variable named BendRadius).

In the dialog box the Bend Radius is set to this variable BendRadius).  Simply click to enter new radius, change the default or click on the Bend Radius glyph on the part.

your other pop up ... and k-factors or bend comp.

You just need to know where to look

Ok my apolgies for disturbing y'all I had no idea you could type a value in the box. I kept hitting the little arrow to only see a flyout menu and all the other tabs. Third time ever touching Inventor. Its hard not to just do all of it in the program I have been using for years.

I just finished SolidWorks sheet metal with my class - essentially the same.

If I could ever catch a moment to breath I will take the tutorial for this thing. I have a stack of some 400+ old prints and growing on PDF's & jpegs that have to be turned into solid parts from the diffrent platforms.

If I am unable to change it to a number, what does that mean? I would like my bend radius to be .031in, but I am unable to change it to a number in my preferences or by overriding it.

Hi Andrew, The behavior sounds like geometry specific. Could you attach the file you are working on? Forum experts should be able to comment further.

Many thanks!

It's hidden option designed by Autodesk. When you set the default bend radius consider One sheet thickness, all the bending will be followed same. If you want to change radius for certain bending add extra command in bend radius box as (Bend radius+Required radius). You'll get what you need. Hope this helps.
