Change default to NOT show view scale?

Is there any way to change the default so that the scale box is NOT checked when views are placed? (I have to turn this off every time.)

No way to set defaults at this time.

Are you seeing this on base views? Base and projected views should not show
scale by default.

Come to think of it, I only see it on section views, detail views, etc...but I do a lot of those views, so it's just one more thing to do every time.

I'd like to see the ability to set the view labels by template too.

For example, I always put "SECTION A-A", some people put "Section On
A-A", some just put "A-A"

We really really need the ability to customise this (and detail views
too) to user defined defaults.

And the ability to hide the scale by default too!

Can someone tell me how you can set the Default of view labels so the visibility is toggled ON?

Yes, this question was asked in 2006, but so far I too have been unable to find an answer. Anyone?? How can we eliminate the step of forever having to delete the SCALE??

And, is there a way to change the default of said section from Full to Distance?

It is in your drawing Styles manager. Manage Tab > Styles and Standards Panel > Styles Editor. Click on the active standard and on the right side, click on the View Preferences. Then Go to View Label Defaults. Using the drop down, choose the view you want to edit, then in the display to the right, just add or remove what you want.

As for the section, you can change the depth type upon placement:
