Change color of STEP file

I've opened a STEP file into Inventor but I'm unable to change the colour.

I've tried the appearance overide and then tried to change the colour but it keeps reverting back to the original colour.

Hello,

Just simply Go to Tools tab  Materials and Appearances panel, click Clear and select all to clear all overrides before assigning any new, hope it works.

Nope, doesn't work.

Hi @sbromley,

you 're right.

In this case the Clear Override is not enough, that because the override is stack in the repair surface enviroment.

You can solve like this:

Then finish repair and repeat for the other repaired group
