Hi all,
I have frame members that I am unable to delete. I get this failure notice...
I found a post with the same problem form back in 2018 that appears to not have been resolved.
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/cannot-delete-with-frame-generator/m-p/8168205
I am not sure how I got here, but I need to get the references out out of the model as these members are not a part of the model. I changed them the reference parts to get them out of the BOM, but I hate having issues in my model.
As suggested in the other thread, I was unable to demote them.
My NDA does not allow me to post the frame or I would.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Steven
Solved! Go to Solution.
It appears this was caused by a corrupt component file.
I deleted the component files, then opened the model and replaced the unresolved frames with an good file.
The frames then showed up in the model and I was able to delete them. All is right with the world again.
I had to do size changes to adjacent members and this did not sit well with the FG. Had to go back and fix a few connections so I guess that had something to do with it.
Hope this will help others.
Thanks, Steven
