Cannot break link to Simulation files. "Links" is grayed out

I have broken links in this assembly that I am trying to work in. They seem to be related to simulation that someone else has started on, but has sense then deleted the files and folders. But the link still remains.

I cannot select the "link" button on the tools tab either as its grayed out.

how else can I break these links?

Can you go into the stress analysis environment and just delete the studies in there?

What do you see under Tools>Links?

The one screenshot above shows that the "links" button is grayed out.

The (probable) solution I posted above is for when "links" is grayed out, but there are still underlying links. Yes, Autodesk is this gnarly sometimes...

Hi! This is likely a corruption. I have seen files like this. Unfortunately, the links became orphaned. For assemblies, you might be able to demote the components to a new assembly. For parts, I am not aware of ways to remove those links.

Many thanks!

Another similar solution for NASTRAN FEA files I used in the past is this:

"- Nastran in-CAD > delete the FEA data from a model:
"Go to Default Settings -> Uncheck the box for "Save FE Modeling" data -> Click OK
Use "Save FE Modeling Data" option to retain or remove FEA data with the CAD model.
Right-click on "Mesh model" in the simulation tree and select "Delete Mesh".
Exit out of In-CAD
Save the model.
Close the model in the CAD software
Open the model in the CAD software
Go Back into In-CAD go to Default Settings -> reselect the box for Save FE Modeling data -> Click OK < >This is to re-enable the saving of the fea data, otherwise whenever a analysis is closed the data will always be removed.
Save the model and close the CAD software."
