Can't select solid bodies while importing to Inventor from AutoCAD Mechanical Files.

Hello,

I often import 3D models created in AutoCAD Mechanical to Inventor Professional using "DWG/DXF File Wizard." I never had any issues until I updated to Inventor Professional 2023. After that, I cannot select individual solids in the second step of the import, where you have different options for selections like layouts, layers, etc. There are two panes, one for selecting layers and the other for selecting 3D solids or sketch geometry that you want to import. Both panes are totally blank and I cannot select anything. Look the attached image for reference. Once I click next and finish importing, everything in the .dwg file get imported. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

Thanks

Hi! To see the preview, you do need Autodesk DWG TrueView 2023 installed. Go to manage.autodesk.com or google the web. It should be available as a free download.

Many thanks!

Thank you for your reply. I have it installed on my computer already. Apart from DWG TrueView, I also have AutoCAD and AutoCAD Mechanical installed and up to date.

Hello @johnsonshiue

So I uninstalled the DWG True View and installed it again, and now importing to Inventor from AutoCAD works fine for most files. However, I still casnnot see the preview fore a few files.

Thank you for your help.
