Can't select hole format in hole note dialog

Hi all,

I'm having issues changing the hole format in Inventor,

I created the hole feature with the hole tools in the reference model, and everything is set correctly. However when I annotate these in a drawing, the dialog defaults to a thru spotface, not a thru counterbore, and I can't select the correct option from the dropdown either. I have to manually write the correct format.

What's wrong?

Hi Joshua,

The behavior does not look right to me. Either some Hole Note settings are wrong or some styles are corrupted. Please share the files here or send them in zip to me at johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. Forum experts can help take a look.

Many thanks!

When you're creating you hole in the model, are you sure that you are picking the counterbore option and not the spotface option?

The two icons look similar, but will access different hole notes in your style.

I was able to confirm it was indeed set to the spotface option for some reason. Thank you.
