Hello inventor forum,
on my home pc I cannot create a new drawing because when I open templates inventor keeps on crashing. It also doesn’t show anything there. I have tried installing inventor again and that didn’t work. Can anyone help me?

Can’t open templates
Try and locate the template folder
in Application Options ensure the following matches if your folder is located in the normal location.
%PUBLICDOCUMENTS%\Autodesk\Inventor %RELEASE%\Templates\
otherwise supply a folder path and ensure the template files are here.
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2021\Templates\
If you want the project file to follow the application options folder path then set as default if not add a folder path

Hi! We do have some users reporting thus behavior. It could be Windows User Profile related. Somehow Windows blocks Inventor from accessing the template folder. Please make sure you have the appropriate privilege to the folder. Close Inventor and right-click on Inventor desktop icon -> Properties -> Compatibility -> check "Run as Admin." Does it work now? If not, go to Windows User Access Control (UAC) and drag the level to the bottom.
