Hello everyone,

I can't make a rip and a flat pattern of a pipe. I have tried many different ways and I gave up.

Could you please help me?

Put cad file in attachments.

I use Inventor 2019.

Howdy  @Anonymous I see that you are visiting as a new member to the Inventor Forum.

Please set the sheetmetal rule thickness = 6mm before execute the Rip command.

Please check out the fixed file for reference.

Hope it helps!

I've struggled with it, too. Ripping could be done only the conventional way.

With my flattening attempt I noticed, that sheetmetal standards were still not set.

Perhaps that's the cause for rip failure. I won't test it again.

Later: Ok, same proposal from Xun a few seconds earlier
