Hi!

I just need to know how to make this solid by myself. If you would take some time to write it, it would be much appreciated. Thank you so much for your help!

Attached is the file.

So where did this model come from?  What are you struggling with?  Is this a school project?  Inventor version you're using?  Normally the forum users will not do a step by step or do the work for you..  We're here to assist when you struggle with something about your model..

Hi @436691203

To add to Marks, you can move the End of Part up (EOP) and see how it was modeled:

I would probably made the first Extrusion a rectangle without the middle cut out and holes. But that's me.

There is also Autodesk Services Marketplace:

https://servicesmarketplace.autodesk.com/

They have people there who can help teach / train you.

Yes, this is for a school project and I'm not sure on how to make it.

I'm running Windows 10, Inventor Pro 2018

Thanks!

If you watch my video, you'll see all of the dimensions and how to do it.

We can't fully do it for you, as it's school work and wouldn't be fair, but we can guide you ....

Have you been given an assignment without instruction on how to use Inventor? Can you ask your instructor to join this discussion? Are you sure that your Units are correct?

If it is the same like here in Florida the teacher wants them to write step by step how to because many students get on here and have people do their models so now the teacher wants them to write the steps with the model.

So he wants you to do his homework .

You can start by going through tutorials in help in Inventor.

I don't understand this response.  The instructor should be able to read the part history.

Inventor is a history-based parametric modeler.

The step-by-step instructions are in the part history.

This is usually covered the first week of class?

That is why I am requesting additional information from the student/instructor about the assignment.

The student should be able to read the part history.

Hello @Anonymous,

This part is not even hard to make. Please search on YouTube tutorials about extrusion and fillet (+chamfer). Also, invest 1hour in your time to watch tutorials and then you will be able to design it for less than 10 minutes. Above in the thread is explained how you can use the End of the part which will be very helpful for you!

If you mean by "units", you mean in millimetres? In that case, yes, I believe it is correct.

I don't need you to do the homework. I want to be able to make that model. That is my reference model.

We were taught to read it but weren't told that we could use the EOP to our advantage

Okay. So I don't understand how to get the angle of the lines (circled in red). I tried researching but they were a bit confusing for me.

Also for the curve that's circled in blue, I don't know how to make that curve. Is it the arc: centre point feature?

Cheers!

You don't need the angle due to the Vertical dimension from the center to the bottom. You'll get a reference dimension like you see here for the angle:

If you make the model for them, how is the teacher gong to know by reading part history?

Nothing in the part history tells who made the part after I remove your name and put my name.

This is why the teacher is asking for step by step written build.

Unless I am not understanding you on history build.
