Hello,

talking to developer who is responsible for Bolted Connection, he says:  Relation between Thread type and unit is hardcoded somehow. Would you mind to send us your Thread.xls file - file that defines threads? Located here:

"c:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor <version>\Design Data\XLS\en-US\thread.xls"

Regards

Hi,

I'm sorry,😑 I have to correct myself, the problem is in ..."Lager" not in "Kleecoil"

Thanks again!

Hello Vaida,

investigating using your Thread.xls, we see units change you are reporting here. Unfortunately we have no better news for you than explanation: Bolted Connection code is based on some presumptions, Bolted Connection searches in Thread.xls trying to find sheets describing major used threads like ANSI, ISO ... If it does not find them then it tries to use thread type based on sheet order in Thread.xls. Assumes units for thread type.

Basically: Bolted Connection algorithm has some assumptions used for thread type identification in the Thhread.xls + corresponding units. One suggestion based on this explanation could be: try to reorder sheets in your Thread.xls.

Fix in code should not be easy, per discussion with BC developer, it would be bigger change that we are not currently ready for (being honest)

Regards
