Bolted Connection Generator Through Multiple Frame Generated Parts

Hi Everyone,

The following is a problem we are facing in our office. I was wondering if onyone came across such and found a solution.

I have tried to check for a similar issue but none exists in the forum.

Inputs

1. None of the parts making up the flanges are mirrored from any part.

2. The bolted connection was created using cylindrical faces of all holes existing from the first flange.

3. The preview show according to what is expected.

Outputs

1. Only one bolt is generated.

2. The holes are generated only in the part of the frame that was used to define Termination

Your help will be highly appreciated.

Hi GORDONMABIYA,

As for the one bolt visible - check this topic: LINK.

As for the holes, please note from the autodesk help, especially index #3, which may be your issue (bold added):

"

  • Holes are drilled into parts, not into assembly holes. So, the bolted connection generator does not drill into holes created in the assembly environment, only into holes created in the part environment.
  • Holes cannot be drilled into faces created by assembly features.
  • You cannot insert a bolted connection into two instances of the same part using the bolted connection generator.
  • You cannot edit a bolted connection component that is suppressed

"

Please inform If any of these helped.

Best regards,

Marcin Maciejewicz
